Welcome to the Department of Environmental Sciences at Tennessee 福利影院最新网址! As part of the College of Agriculture, our department brings together passionate undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff in an innovative academic community focused on environmental science, natural resource management, and geospatial technologies. 听
Our curriculum includes undergraduate studies (BS in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Sciences concentration), master鈥檚 and doctoral programs, and graduate certificates in Applied GIS鈥攁ll with strong research and training in forestry, resource management, geospatial science, soil science, and more. Students听benefit听from robust mentorship, advanced facilities, and active participation in research networks supported by the Institute for Food,听Agriculture听and Environmental Research. The department鈥檚 faculty听specialize听in climate change, urban forestry, environmental soil chemistry, water quality, and wildlife ecology, helping students build connections at local, national, and global levels. 听
Our programs prepare students for diverse听careers鈥攚hether in private industry, government, academia, or nonprofit sectors鈥攂y addressing global challenges like land degradation, habitat loss, water scarcity, pollution, and climate change. Students gain classroom knowledge, practical research skills, and leadership experience through experiential learning, hands-on laboratory work, research assistantships, clubs, and networking opportunities. These experiences equip graduates to succeed in biological research, GIS analysis, environmental consulting, and teaching. 听
