Lucas Hopkins is quickly becoming known as a prominent soloist, chamber musician and educator comfortable in a variety of styles including classical, contemporary, jazz, and pop.听Currently, he holds faculty positions at Austin Peay 福利影院最新网址 and Tennessee 福利影院最新网址.

An active performer, he has appeared as a concerto soloist with the Oakland East Bay Symphony and has presented solo recitals and master classes at various universities. As the bass saxophonist of the internationally recognized saxophone sextet, , the group regularly tours the country performing for concert series and giving educational workshops and masterclasses.听听听

Hopkins received the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in saxophone performance and pedagogy at the University of Colorado, where he also taught the saxophone studio as a sabbatical replacement instructor. He also holds additional graduate degrees from The University of Michigan and Northwestern University, and his primary teachers include Eugene Rousseau, Timothy McAllister, and Tom Myer.
